About Debra Rossi
I grew up listening and following the advice I had received about living a happy life: with an education, job, marriage, and children, life would be great. Meeting these goals became my objective and I had never given much thought to staying true to myself, becoming what inspires me, developing positive habits, or getting to know myself on a deeper spiritual level. So, I got a formal education, married, had two children, and began my career in Human Resource Management. My motivation to work in the HR field was knowing that I always had a ‘natural curiosity’ about people and cared about helping employees maintain positive relationships. Working in this field translated into developing strong organizational and managerial skills while providing the needed support system. It was my time of initiation with achieving bigger goals, learning the importance of effective communication skills, and identifying and solving problems.
The years went by and my life was full, yet there was an underlying yearning for something more. I discovered my happiness was elusive and I began to have feelings of disconnect from within. I desired to uncover the something more. This was the road to discovery. I had followed the traditional paths and had been so attentive to everyone and everything else that I had neglected my innermost self. I knew it was time to take action, time to accept there was a turn in the road to uncover more of, Who Am I? I discovered I didn’t have to look far. What inspired me was personal development, teaching, and motivating others; these were my special mores. These passions had always been there but I had often ignored them. My need for inner fulfillment and living an authentic life was the catalyst for transformation.
Making Choices Means Digging Deeper
I chose to change the tempo and follow a new beat. The inner nudges to step out of my comfort zone propelled me forward. My journey of self-discovery began with inner spiritual growth. Instead of looking ‘out there’ for the answers, I had to dig deep — get quiet, listen, and take small action steps. I began working with a Spiritual Life Coach who helped me break through old programming and change my self-talk. As I ‘let go’ of the limiting beliefs, my passions, mission, and vocation realigned. A new level of self-awareness got me out of autopilot and I discovered my Authentic Self. Personal Life Coaching is my passion and a natural alignment with my strengths and interests.
More About Debra
The big, as well as the small moments in my life are equally important — whether I’m coaching a client, being a mother to my children, hiking, biking, cooking, or connecting with friends. I continue to participate in workshops on Life Coaching and Neuroscience to further my growth and gain new tools for my clients. I speak to church groups and organizations on topics about self-empowerment and how you can rewire your brain for success. When inspiration struck I wrote a children’s book and instructional guide for school systems on character education. A few years later I wrote a motivational book about discovering your power from within. My message is both bold and simple: be courageous, expand your horizons, and embrace your authenticity.
